This gotra is said to be originated from place named Pandil (पण्डिल). [4]

History
Pandalur is the headquarters of Neliyalam Municipality and Pandalur taluk in The Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu State, India. Pandalur means city of Pandal. It is a matter of further research if it is connected with Jat clan Pandal.
