Risaldar Mukh Ram from village Badli in Jhajjar district (Haryana), was the younger brother of Jemadar Gopal Singh. [1]
His family
He came of a historic military family. Risaldar Mukh Ram's son Phool Singh became Risaldar in the same regiment. His son Risaldar Mir Singh was killed in action in France in 1914. His son Major Chandan Singh was awarded MBE in 1945 in recognition of his gallant and distinguished service in Italy.[2]
