Satpal Sangwan

Late Satpal Sangwan was a former MLA from Haryana from Charkhi Dadri consituency of Haryana. He belonged to Chandeni village. He was considered very close aide of Mr. Surender Singh - son of Late Ch. Bansilal. He worked as SDO in telecom department and later got a ticket in 1996 from Charkhi Dadri and fought election. Thus, he became MLA in 1996.

Later, he also joined hands with Kuldeep Bishnoi.

In October 2019 elections of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Congress party denied him a ticket from Charkhi Dadri constituency. Then he left the Congress party and fought as a candidate from JJP party of Dushyant Chautala. During this election, Satpal Sangwan got only 14272 votes and his rival, Sombir Sangwan, an independent candidate, got 43849 votes and won the election.

Satpal Sangwan was Minister in Bhupinder Hooda cabinet 2009.

Demise and obituary

Satpal Sangwan breathed his last on 3 March 2025 after a prolonged illness. His last rites were performed at his native village Chandeni in Charkhi Dadri district.

पूर्व मंत्री सतपाल सांगवान का 82 की उम्र में निधन

चरखी दादरी - भाजपा विधायक सुनील सांगवान के पिता और पूर्व मंत्री सतपाल सांगवान का 82 साल की उम्र में निधन हो गया। उन्होंने रविवार रात ढाई बजे गुरुग्राम के मेदांता अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली। वह थर्ड स्टेज के लीवर कैंसर से पीड़ित थे। दोपहर दो बजे उनकी शव यात्रा शहर से होते हुए पैतृक चंदेनी गांव पहुंची। यहाँ राजकीय सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। बेटे सुनील सांगवान ने मुखाग्‍नि दी।
