Origin

Shrirampura village was established before independence, earlier it was called "purohito ka baas" or balda. But the sarpanch of Shrirampura village, Chaudhary Ghisaram Neel, changed its name to "Shrirampura" in the 1960-70s.

History

The history of Shrirampura village is a wonderful history in itself. After the coming of Panchayati Raj, the first sarpanch of this village was Choudhary Shri Ghisaram Neel who later served as sarpanch for many years. Later, Shri Sojiram Bhadala reached the post of sarpanch of this village. Later, Mrs. Suva Devi Neel became Sarpanch and after him, Shri Mohanlal Bhadala became Sarpanch.
