History

They are mentioned by Cunningham[4] in an inscription at the Buddhist Stupa of Sanchi of the Ashoka period as under: No. 32. — (Ga) ha-patino Budha Ghosa . . .

" (Gift of) the householder, Budha Ghosha."

Ghasoi (घसोई) is an ancient village in Bhanpura tahsil in Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. It was known as Ghoshwati (घोषवती) in ancient times. It is 75 km from Mandsaur and 10 km from Suwasara. Its PIN code is 458888. [5]

Ghosalia (घोसलिया) has probably originated from ancient town Ghoswati.
