Annals of Mewar is the major topic of discussion in the 'Annals and Antiquities of Rajasthan' Vol 1 by James Tod. In earlier part introductory to major theme the author has given the list of major clans of the ruling dynasties with the help of epigraphy and traditions as well as by using contemporary books.
So far clan names and historic dynasties of the modern day Jats are concerned, the book is a mine of information.
