दलीप सिंह अहलावत लिखते हैं:अमृतसर के भावल गांव के सरदार नानूसिंह मद्र ने अपने भाई भागसिंह, रामसिंह को लेकर जगाधरी के पास बूड़िया नामक विशाल किले पर 1764 ई० में अधिकार कर लिया और 200 गांवों पर शासन स्थिर करके एक बूड़िया रियासत बना ली थी। (इसी बूड़िया में बीरबल का जन्म हुआ था जो सम्राट् अकबर के दरबार में था)।
