Dhana Teja (धाना तेजा) is a village in tehsil Mathura of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh.

Location

It is situated at a distance of 15 km from Mathura on Delhi-Agra road. There are a number of villages around this village by the name Dhana. This village is known as Dhana of Jats or Dhana of Kuntals. This is a well-developed village.

History

This is an old historical village founded by Baba Meghraj who came from ‘Sahajua thok’ of Saunkh in Rajasthan.

Jat Gotras

There are 500 families residing in the village out of them 450 families are of Jats. Kuntal is the biggest gotra in the village. The other Jat Gotras inhabiting the village are Sinsinwar, Solanki, Sikarwar, Sogaria and Chahar.
