Dynasty- Yaduvanshi Surseniwar/Sinsiniwar Jats
The Sinsinwar Jats claim descent from the Yaduvanshi Maharaja Sursain who established the Mahajanpada of Sursaini. The Sursaini Janapada over time came to known as Sinsini. The Vrishni clan Jats who settled at Sinsini in 8th century AD are known as Sinsiniwar.
Sinsini again came into prominence in 16th century. The castellan of Sinsini Thakur Bhuri Singh Sinsinwar and his son Ruria Singh revolted against the Mughal Emperor in 1627. The Bairagis of that time used to call Ruria Singh 'Shah Ka Shul' (thorn in the chest of Shahjahan). Sinsini became an independent principality under Thakur Braj Raj (grandson of Ruria Singh). Raja Ram Singh Sinsinwar (the great grandson Ruria Singh and nephew of Braj Raj) is credited for ending Mughal rule in Agra Subah.
Raja Ram Singh Sinsinwar (Also Know as Raja Ram Jat), his 2 sons and a grandson all were killed fighting Mughals. A causin of Raj Ram Sinsinwar, Rao Churaman Singh of Thun took the command of Sinsinwar Jats. He was a man of extra ordinary ability and became the de facto ruler of all the territory South of Delhi to the river Chambal. Churaman is known as the founder of Bharatpur State. After Thun the nephew of Rao Churaman Singh Raja Badan Singh shifted the capital to Deeg. Maharaja Suraj Mal one of the greatest warrior the nation ever produced shifted the capital of state to Bharatpur.
