Gaharwarpura (गहरवारपुरा) or Gaur is a historical place in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. It was founded by Bundela chief Hemkaran or Pancham Bundela. Pancham Bundela died in 1071 AD.

Gaharwar Ka Pura

Gaharwar Ka Pura is a small Village/hamlet in Uruwan Block in Allahabad District of Uttar Pradesh State, India. It comes under Lahadi Panchayath. It belongs to Allahabad Division . It is located 46 KM towards East from District head quarters Allahabad. 252 KM from State capital Lucknow. Gaharwar Ka Pura is surrounded by Handia Block towards North , Manda Block towards South , Meja Block towards west , Karchhana Block towards west. Phulpur , Allahabad , Mirzapur , Mauganj are the near by Cities to Gaharwar Ka Pura. [1]

गहरवारपुरा

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...गहरवारपुरा (AS, p.284) या गौर मिर्जापुर ज़िला, उत्तर प्रदेश का ऐतिहासिक स्थान है। एक किवदंती के अनुसार गहरवारपुरा को बुंदेला राजपूतों के पूर्वपुरुष हेमकरन या पंचम बुंदेला ने बसाया था। पंचम बुंदेला की मृत्यु 1071 ई. के लगभग हुई थी। बुंदेले गहरवार (ग्रहनिवार) क्षत्रिय थे।
