Garhi Ballab (गढ़ी बल्लब) is a small village in Tehsil Kalanaur, Distt. Rohtak in Haryana.

History

This village is only about two centuries old, when people from neighbouring villages settled down here. Most of the peoples settled down here owned murrabas after partition (A land measuring unit of 25 acres). The names of neighbouring villages from where the peoples migrated are - Dubaldhan, Dubaldhan Majra, Beri, Siwana and Cheemni Sunaria, Nanod, Gochhi. The primary occupation is agriculture with the younger ones moving to join Govt, public sector and private companies. Village is well connected to roads with a 1.5 hr journey to Gurgaon and Delhi. The primary source of land irrigation is canal with good tubewell sources in most of the lands. Sanskar Valley is the most nearby Private school. Government School is upto 10th standard situated at the main entrance of thr village.
