Harpal Singh Panwar

Harpal Singh Panwar (born 1 June 1945) is an Indian politician. He was born in the village of Naala in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. This village is now part of Shamli district.
Harpal Singh Panwar has been a Member of Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha) for two terms in 1989 & 1991. Mr. Harpal Panwar was also the General Secretary and Vice-President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC).
Educated at Meerut University, Harpal Panwar is a well-known leader of western Uttar Pradesh and has been involved in various movements of farmers in U.P. Mr. Harpal Panwar was also appointed the Vice-Chairman of Council for Advancement of People's Action & Rural Technology (CAPART), Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India in 1996.
