Hatiar

Hatiar (हतियार) Hatyar (हतयार) is a Muslim Jat clan found in Pakistan. Hatiar (हतियार) tribe of Jats found in Gujrat and so called because they used to practise female infanticide. They migrated from Shahpur to Gujrat in Akbar's time.

Origin

Hatyar (हतयार) gotra of Jats are descendants of people who used to keep weapons (hathiyar).
