Jagroop Singh Pahlwan (Rathi), a famous wrestler, belongs to village Dariyapur Kalan in Bawana area of Delhi.
He is the father of famous Arjuna Awardee woman wrestler Neha Rathi of Delhi.
Shri Jagroop Singh has been an IPS officer and has won Gold Medal in the Commonwealth Games held at Christchurch in 1972 in Wrestling.
He had participated in the Asian Games in 1974 at Teheran.
He was the Chief Coach of the Indian Wrestling Team for Olympic Games held at Los Angeles in 1984.
He was decorated with “Arjuna Award” in 1974.
