Jailal Dhanda, born in May,1945 is a prominent political and social figure in the state of Haryana. Born in Dhanauri village, Jailal Dhanda has been a social activist right from his youth. Jailal, at a very young age, started social work for the betterment of society. He, at a very young age, was selected as Sarpanch of the village Dhanauri. He was initially a part of Indian National Congress, but due to ideological differences, he left Congress and joined Indian National Lok Dal, wherein he quickly rose to fame. He served as District President during the Indian National Lol Dal Regime in the constituency of the then Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and is considered as one of his close companions. He also served as Chairman of The Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd. He is currently serving as the Head of Hans Dahar Teerth Samiti while still being active in state politics.
