Adi Parva, Mahabharata/Book I Chapter 31 mentions the names of Chief Nagas...Kalmasha (कल्माष) is listed in verse (I.31.7)....Nila, Anila, Kalmasha, Shabala, Aryaka, Adika, Shala, Potaka,.. [2]
Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 25 mentions the countries Arjuna subjugated in the North. Kalmasha (कल्माष) is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.25.6). [3]....And the exalted prince (Arjuna) having arrived at the lake Manasa conquered the regions ruled by the Gandharvas that lay around the Hataka territories. Here the conqueror took, as tribute from the country, numerous excellent horses called Tittiri, Kalmasha, Manduka.
Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 47 mentions the Kings who brought tributes to Yudhishthira: Kalmasha (कल्माष) is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.47.4).[4]....The king of Kamboja gave innumerable skins of the best king, and blankets made of wool, of the soft fur of rodents and other burroughers, and of the hair of cats,--all inlaid with threads of gold. And he also gave three hundred horses of the Titteti and the Kalmasha species possessing noses like parrots. And he also gave three hundred camels and an equal number of she-asses
Shalya Parva, Mahabharata/Book IX Chapter 44 describes the Kings and clans who joined the ceremony for investing Kartikeya with the status of generalissimo. Kalmasha (कल्माष) is mentioned in Mahabharata (IX.44.100) [5]
