Kukanwali (कुकनवाली), is a large village in Nawa tehsil of Nagaur district in Rajasthan.

Location

Pincode of the village is 341519. It is situated 30km away from Nawa town and 158km away from Nagaur city. Being a large village, Kukanwali has got its own gram panchayat. Ompura, Jaswantpura and Panchwa are some of the nearby villages.

Founders

Kukna Jats founded it. It is said that the village called Kukanwali near Chitawa & Daulpura villages of Panchayat samitti Kuchaman City of Nagaur district is named by jats of Kukana gotra. Today also it is well known fact that names are changed after time being factors. The "Kookanaa wali" after a long time became "Kukanwali" and if the word "Kookana wali" repeatedly spoken in fast running speed it becomes "Kukanwali" itself. The Kookana jats were originally founders of that village & in ancient time it was called as "Kookana Wali".

कुकनवाली अथवा कूकणाली गाँव वर्तमान नागौर जिले की नावाँ तहसील में और पंचायत समिति कुचामन सिटी के अंतर्गत आता है इस गाँव में पहले "कूकणा" गोत्र के जाट रहते थे इसलिय यह "कूकणा ली" अर्थात कूकाना वाली बनी और अपभ्रंश होकर "कूकनवाली" हो गया है।[1]
