Mirapur

Mirapur (मीरापुर) is a medium-size village in Muzaffarnagar tahsil & district in Uttar Pradesh.

Location

It is situated 10km away from Muzaffarnagar city. Mirapur village has got its own gram panchayat. Bamanheri, Mandhera and Lachhera are some of the nearby villages.

• Panghal - Mirapur Khurd, a jat village has one-third mohalla where a Panghal gotra Jat kisan's familyh migrated from Tosham village, Haryana, in search of irrigated land. He was granted jamindari rights by British rulers. Over the time, the family has expanded in various parts of India and abroad. The family boasts of highly educated members including post graduates and I.T. professionals. Myself served in Delhi and retired as Head of school.
