Pasal

Pasal is a gotra of Jats. It is a branch of Saroya. They supported the ascendant clan Johiya and became part of a political confederacy:

• According to H.A. Rose Jat clans derived from Joiya are: Pasal, Mondhla, Khichar, Jani, Machra, Kachroya, Sor and Joiya.

Mention by Pliny

Pliny mentions....After passing the mouth of the Bosporus we come to the river Rhebas⁹, by some writers called the Rhesus. We next come to Psillis¹⁰, the port of Calpas¹¹, and the Sagaris¹², a famous river, which rises in Phrygia and receives the waters of other rivers of vast magnitude, among which are the Tembrogius¹³ and the Gallus¹⁴, the last of which is by many called the Sangarius.

Sub divisions of Johiya

Bhim Singh Dahiya provides us list of Jat clans who were supporters of the Johiya when they gained political ascendancy. The Pasal clan supported the ascendant clan Johiya and became part of a political confederacy.
