Patan (पाटण) or Patan Tuarvati is a large village in Neem Ka Thana tehsil in Sikar district in Rajasthan.

James Tod[1] writes that The chief possessions left to the Tuars are the district of Tuargarh, on the right bank of the Chambal towards its junction with the Jumna, and the small chieftainship of Patan Tuarvati in the Jaipur State, and whose head claims affinity with the ancient kings of Indraprastha.
In the 12th century, it became the centre of a minor state called Tanwarawati or Torawati (after Tanwar/Tomar the clan name) ruled by the Tomara clan the chief of which the Rao of Patan[2] is considered the direct in descent from Anang Pal Tomar the ruler of Delhi before Prithviraj Chauhan.
This city was a war place for many rulers of India. In the eighteenth century the great Maratha warrior Alijah Shrinath Mahdhojirao (alias Mahadji Shinde) won the battle against the Rajput armies of Jaipur. Today's Jaipur and Jodhpur were on one side and on the other side was the army of Shrinath Mahadji Shinde supported by De Boigne. Apart from Tanwar, Rao Rajput also related to this and was the native of this town.

As per Census-2011 statistics, Patan village has the total population of 7004 (of which 3664 are males while 3340 are females).[3]
