Rain (रैन)[1][2] Ren (रेन)[3] is a Jat Gotra found in Jind district in Haryana.[4][5]

- Rain (रैन) (Jat clans) → Raini Kheda (रैनीखेड़ा). Raini Kheda (रैनीखेड़ा) is a village in Tamia tahsil in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.
History
H.A. Rose[6] writes that Arain (अरेन), Rain (रेन) (the latter form prevails in the Jumna valley), is a term which has at least two distinct meanings : in the Sutlej valley and throughout the eastern plains the Arains form a true caste, but in all the rest of the two Provinces the term is applied to any market-gardener and is synonymous with Baghban, Mali, Maliar, and even Jat in the South-West Punjab.
