Rathaura (रठौड़ा), (also spelt as Rethuda, ‎Rathora and ‎Rathoda) is a big village in Chhaprauli tahsil of Bagpat district in Uttar Pradesh.

Location

It is located 33 KM towards North from District headquarters Bagpat. It is about 4 KM from Chhaprauli and about 15 KM from Baraut.

Nearby villages are : Kakor Kalan, Badarkha, Ramala, Hewa, Halalpur. Sugarcane is the main crop in this area. Local jaggery (Gur - गुड़) is very famous. There is a sugar-mill a few kilometres away from this village.

Education Facilities

Hoshiary Devi Girls Inter College is a premier institute situated in Rathaura. It has two blocks situated in the same boundary - (i) Primary (Class 1 to 5) - This section is co-education one - both for boys and girls and (ii) Higher classes - class VI to XII. This is for girls only.

This Inter College is run by Birbal Singh & Hoshiary Devi Charitable Trust, established by Dr. Jagbir Singh [1] who is now a resident of Pennsylvania, USA. Another prominent NRI living in USA, Dr. Ram S. Arya [2] who also runs North American Jat Charities, has been regularly funding the college for many years. No funds in this Inter-College are received from Government sources.
