Sumit Sangwan
Sumit Sangwan (Born: 1 January 1993) is from Shekhpura Suhana in Karnal, Haryana. He is an Indian boxer, who has booked his berth at the London Olympics, 2012.[1][2][3][4][5]
Sumit (81 kg) outpunched Jordan's Ihab Almatbouli 20-13 to ensure himself a place at the London Olympics.[3]
During an interview with the press, Sumit said:
- "After beating the South Korean in the quarters, I was confident of winning an Olympic berth," said Sumit. "With three months to go, I will work on improving my footwork and technique to increase my chances of winning a medal in London."[3]
