Sunil Balwada (Naik Gunman) - From Jaitpur Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Became Martyr on 9.6.2009 in an AN-32 plain crash during Operation Falcon near China Border. [1]
Status of Martyr
He along with other 12 soldiers were doing patrolling. North East Area was not notified so on this technical ground he could not get the status of a martyr. It was a long battle by his advocate brother Satish and father Jai Singh that the status of Martyr was awarded after 7 years in 2016. [2]
