Ved Parkash Mann son of Jai Kishan Mann of village Kishan Garh in Delhi, he is a politician and businessman. He contested MLA election from Delhi where he was the richest candidate, showing 217 Crore. In 2020 Delhi election his relative (daughter's father-in-law) Dharampal Lakra was also the richest candidate and showed 292 Crore from Mundka Vidhan Sabha and defeated BJP candidate Delhi Mayor Master Azad Singh Lakra (brother of Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma)

Ved Parkash Mann in 2008 contested MLA election from Mehrauli Vidhan Sabha on BSP ticket against Delhi Minister and Malviya Nagar MLA Dr. Yoganand Shastri from Congress, Delhi Mayor Satbir Singh Gandas as Independent and President Delhi Kisan Morcha, 1972 DUSU General Secretary Sher Singh Dagar. It was very tough competetion all four were strong Jats and Yoganand Shastri won by just margin of 1108 votes from Sher Singh Dagar
