Vikas Bhambhu (Major) became martyr on 21.10.2022 in a helicopter crash at Migging village in the border state Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district on Friday 21.10.2022. Along with Maj Vikas Bhambhu, Maj Mustafa Bohara, Cfn Aswin KV, Hav Biresh Sinha & Nk Rohitashva Kumar Khairwa laid down their lives in the line of duty in helicopter crash at Migging, Arunachal Pradesh. Early life
Vikas Bhambhu was son of Bhagirath Bhambhu from village Rampura Urf Ramsara or 3 Rwd in Tibi tahsil of District Hanumangarh in Rajasthan. He was married to Shreya Chaudhary (Saharan) - Topper M.Com. IIS University, from Maderan, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
Best All Round Student Officer
Lt Vikas Bhambhu was presented the trophy for the Best All Round Student Officer for best abilities in general and tactical flying as well as ground subjects.....The army aviation corps is expanding its technical skills and professional capabilities to the highest order. To become a true combat aviator will call for enhancing of tactical and operational competencies, said Lt gen K H Singh, AVSM, VSM, Commandant Infantry School, Mhow while addressing the aviators, who donned wings at the passing out parade ceremony of the combat aviation course – Serial-24, at the Combat Army Aviation School (CATS) in Nashik on Saturday.
As many as 32 officers were presented the coveted wings to induct them at aviators in the army aviation corps. After having successfully completed ardous training in flying and ground subjects, through the 18 weeks course at training institutes in Allahabad, Jhansi, Amroli, Bangalore and Nashik, the officers hailing from the various arms of the army expressed confidence and eagerness to take on the role and responsibility of army aviators (pilots).
The ceremony on the air field at Gandhinagar, Nashik came alive with the roaring of the rotors including the Cheetah, Chetak and Dhruv that flew in formation while the student officers marched out to the field to the tunes of the artillery centre band. Marked by discipline and grandeur of the Indian Army, the ceremony saw all the 32 officers being presented wings by the chief guest Lt Gen K H Singh.
Lt Vikas Bhambhu was presented the trophy for the Best All Round Student Officer for best abilities in general and tactical flying as well as ground subjects.
Addressing the officers, Lt Gen Singh said: "You have a great goal ahead. Your predecessors in the army aviation corps have done a humongous service and you will have to live up to the expectations of the army and make all proud."
The senior officer told them that they were setting on a challenging career with plenty of opportunities and would need to display highest order of leadership, courage and professional acumen.
After the wings presentation, the aviators then took the final step to pass out in a slow march from their alma matar — the CATS, to take on their professional role in new postings.
The ceremony was also marked by the integrated training exercise, a demonstration of the power and grit of the Cheetah, Chetak and the Dhruv helicopters and their pilots. Para troopers landing perfectly caught the eye.
The helicopters displayed their ability to maneuver with a show case of operations like small team insertion and extrication from the battle field, slithering and rescue and other operations. The helicopters carried machines like the mortars in the demonstration battle field, dropped and lifted soldiers, rescued the injured, evacuated the troops after the battle was won. The ability of the men and machines won applause from all.

Became martyr in a helicopter crash
Major Vikas Bhambhu became martyr on 21.10.2022 in a helicopter crash at Migging village in the border state Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district on Friday 21.10.2022.
ITANAGAR, 22 Oct: The toll in the army helicopter crash in Upper Siang district rose to five with the body of the last missing army man having been recovered on Saturday, a defence spokesperson said.
The advanced light helicopter (ALH), carrying five army personnel, including two pilots, was on a regular sortie when it crashed at 10:43 am on Friday near Migging, around 25 kms south of Tuting, he said.
The bodies of the four other personnel were recovered on Friday evening from the crash site in a densely wooded mountainous area, around 35 kms from the border with China, defence spokesman Lt Col AS Walia said.
The deceased army personnel have been identified as pilots Major Vikas Bhambhu and Major Mustafa Bohara, CFN Tech AVN (AEN) Aswin KV, Havildar (OPR) Biresh Sinha, and NK (Opr) Rohitashva Kumar, he said.
The cause of the crash is not yet known and details are being ascertained, the officer said.
“It is reported that the weather was good for flying operations.
The pilots had more than 600 combined flying hours on ALH-WSI and over 1,800 service flying hours between them. The aircraft was inducted into service in June 2015,” Lt Col Walia said.
Prior to the crash, the air traffic control had received a mayday call, suggesting a technical or mechanical failure, he said.
“This will form the focus of the court of inquiry, which has been immediately constituted to investigate the cause of the accident,” Lt Col Walia said.
The army helicopter, also known as HAL Rudra, had taken off from Likabali in Lower Siang district.
The HAL Rudra is an attack helicopter manufactured by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the Indian Army. It is a weapon system integrated (WSI) Mk-IV variant of the Dhruv ALH and is the first armed helicopter produced indigenously in India.
This is the second accident involving an army helicopter in Arunachal this month. A Cheetah helicopter crashed in Tawang district on 5 October and claimed the life of one of its two pilots.
According to official records, Arunachal has witnessed 13 crashes since 1995, and 47 people were killed in them. (PTI)

शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू का जीवन परिचय
मेजर विकास भांभू विद्यार्थी जीवन में बहुत प्रतिभाशाली छात्र रहे हैं. वर्ष 2008 में भारतीय सेना में शामिल होने से लेकर शहीद होने तक का उनका कैरियर बहुत ही शानदार रहा है. भारतीय सेना के बालाकोट सर्जिकल स्ट्राईक दिनांक 26.02.2019 सहित कई सीक्रेट मिशनों में मेजर विकास भांभू अभिन्न अंग रहे है.
पढाई में मेधावी: मेजर विकास भांभू के पिता भागीरथ भांभू सीकर में बैंक की नौकरी करते थे. विकास का जन्म तो रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा में हुआ लेकिन उनकी सारी शिक्षा अपने माता-पिता के पास सीकर में हुई. वे पढ़ाई में मेधावी विद्यार्थी थे. जिसके चलते वर्ष 2008 में उनका एनडीए देहरादून में चयन हुआ. 2012 में उन्होंने देहरादून में ही आर्मी ज्वाईन की. वर्ष 2015 में वे आर्मी के फ्लाइंग विंग में तैनात हुए. शहादत के समय बतौर ट्रेनर मेजर पद पर कार्यरत थे. धारा 370 हटाने के दौरान वे जम्मू में दो माह तैनात रहे तथा सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक के दौरान वे स्टैंडबाई पर रखे गए. अरूणाचल प्रदेश में नियुक्ति से पूर्व वे भटिण्डा व लद्दाख में तैनात रहे.
नौ माह पूर्व हुआ बेटी का जन्म: मेजर विकास भांभू की पत्नी श्रेया चौधरी गृहिणी है लेकिन पढ़ाई के दिनों में वे भी कॉलेज टॉपर रही हैं. उनके नौ माह पूर्व ही एक बेटी का जन्म हुआ था. जिसका नाम ख्वाहिश रखा गया. इनकी दो बहनें रविना बिजारणियां व रेखा है. मेजर विकास भांभू का ननिहाल जिले के गांव जांखड़ावाली में है. जहां के पूर्व सरपंच मंगतूराम गोदारा उनके नाना हैं. जबकि उनकी ससुराल श्रीगंगानगर जिले के मदेरां गांव में है.
शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू की शहादत में श्रद्धांजलि सभा
13.11.2022 को जयपुर के समुराई फार्म, किंग्स रोड, निर्माण नगर में 21.10.2022 को अरुचल प्रदेश के ऊपरी सियांग जिले में शुक्रवार 21.10.2022 को सेना के हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने से शहीद हुये मेजर विकास भांभू की श्रद्धांजलि सभा आयोजित की गई थी, जिसमें भाग लेने का अवसर लेखक को भी मिला.
श्रद्धांजलि सभा में लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एसपी कटेवा, कैबिनेट मंत्री श्री लालचंद कटारिया, पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री सुभाष महरिया, राजस्थान जाट महासभा के अध्यक्ष श्री राजाराम मील, किसान नेता श्री विजय पूनिया, जयपुर संभागीय आयुक्त श्री अंतर सिंह नेहरा, जाटलैंड मॉडरेटर लक्ष्मण बुरड़क, अखिल भारतीय तथा राज्य प्रशासनिक सेवा के अनेक अधिकारी, सेना के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी गण व गणमान्य नागरिक उपस्थित रहे.
चीन की सीमा से लगे अरूणाचल प्रदेश के ऊपरी सियांग जिले में शुक्रवार 21.10.2022 को सेना के हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने से मेजर विकास भांभू शहीद हो गए. वे राजस्थान के हनुमानगढ़ जिले के गाँव रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा के रहने वाले थे. इनके साथ शहीद होने वालों में थे – मेजर मुस्तफा बोहरा, सीएफ़एन असविन केवी, हवलदार बिरेश सिन्हा, नायक रोहिताश्व कुमार खैरवा.
श्रद्धांजलि सभा के प्रारंभ में पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री सुभाष महरिया द्वारा शहीद का पूर्ण परिचय दिया गया. पश्चात शहीद के जीवन वृत्त को दर्शाने वाली एक संक्षिप्त डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिल्म दिखाई गई. कैबिनेट मंत्री [[श्री Lal Chand Kataria|लालचंद कटारिया ने भी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की. गणमान्य लोगों द्वारा देशभक्ति पूर्ण गीत भी प्रस्तुत किए गए.
शहीद की याद में सड़क का नामकरण की माँग: किसान वर्ग के वरिष्ठ नेताओं और समाज के प्रबुद्ध लोगों ने राज्य सरकार के प्रतिनिधि के तौर पर श्रद्धांजलि सभा में उपस्थित कैबिनेट मंत्री श्री लालचंद कटारिया से जयपुर के निर्माण नगर की मुख्य सड़क, जो शहीद मेजर विकास के घर की ओर जाती है, का नामकरण शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू मार्ग करने की मांग रखी. कृषि मंत्री ने तुरंत सैद्धांतिक सहमति देकर शीघ्र ही मुख्यमंत्री श्री अशोक गहलोत जी से से चर्चा उपरांत निर्णय कराने का आश्वासन दिया.
विचारणीय प्रश्न: लेखक द्वारा शहीदों के संबंध में इंटरनेट (https://www.jatland.com/home/The_Martyrs) पर किए जा रहे संकलन के दौरान महसूस किया गया है कि युद्ध काल में शहीद होना सेना और देश के लिए गौरव का विषय है परंतु शांति काल में आतंकवादी गतिविधियों अथवा दुर्घटनाओं में शहीद होना सरकार और सेना की कार्यप्रणाली पर प्रश्नचिन्ह लगाता है. शहीद के परिवार को सरकार कुछ वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान कर और उसके नाम से शहीद स्मारक बना कर कुछ प्रतिपूर्ति करती है परंतु उसके परिवार को जो मानसिक कष्ट जीवन पर्यंत होता है उसकी पूर्ति किसी भी सहायता से नहीं हो सकती. इस विषय पर भारत सरकार को और सेना को गंभीरता से सोचना चाहिए.

शहीद मेजर को सैन्य सम्मान के बाद 9 माह की बेटी ने दी मुखाग्नि
अरुणाचल प्रदेश में हेलीकॉप्टर हादसे में शहीद हुए जिले के मेजर विकास भांभू का 24.10.2022 को उनके पैतृक गांव रामपुरा में सैन्य सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार किया गया. इससे पूर्व सूरतगढ़ से लेकर उनके गांव तक जगह जगह शहीद विकास भांभू को नागरिकों ने अपने श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित किए. शहीद की अंतिम विदाई के दौरान गांव में भारी संख्या में ग्रामीणों ने शहीद विकास भांभू को नम आंखों से अंतिम विदाई दी.
शहीद विकास भांभू की पार्थिव देह पर पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और सांसद निहालचंद मेघवाल, पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री सुभाष महरिया, प्रभारी मंत्री गोविंद राम मेघवाल, ओबीसी वित एवं विकास आयोग चेयरमैन पवन गोदारा, जिला प्रमुख कविता मेघवाल, पूर्व मंत्री डॉ रामप्रताप, भाजपा जिलाध्यक्ष बलबीर बिश्नोई, सीडब्ल्यूसी चेयरमैन जितेंद्र गोयल, संगरिया विधायक गुरदीप शाहपीनी, पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉ अजय सिंह राठौड़ सहित अन्य जनप्रतिनिधियों और अधिकारियों ने पुष्प चक्र अर्पित कर श्रद्धांजलि दी.
इस दौरान शहीद को गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर दिया गया और शहीद की 9 माह की बेटी ख्वाहिश ने अपने पिता को मुखाग्नि दी. अबोध को अपने पिता को मुखाग्नि देते देख बर बस ही सैकड़ों आंखों से आंसू छलक पड़े. शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू के पैतृक गांव रामपुरिया के सरकारी स्कूल में अमर रहे और देशभक्ति नारों के बीच ग्रामीणों ने नम आंखों से शहीद को अंतिम विदाई दी. सूरतगढ़ से लेकर गांव तक जगह जगह लोग हाथ में तिरंगा लेकर शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू अमर रहे और भारत माता की जय के नारे लगाते रहे.

शहीद विकास भांभू का राजकीय सम्मान से अंतिम संस्कार: अरुणाचल प्रदेश में हेलिकॉप्टर क्रैश में शहीद हुए हनुमानगढ़ के मेजर विकास भांभू का राजकीय सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। शहीद का पार्थिव शरीर दोपहर करीब 1 बजे उनके पैतृक गांव रामपुरिया पहुंचा। यहां सरकारी स्कूल में शहीद भगत सिंह की प्रतिमा के पास उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। शहीद मेजर को 9 महीने की बेटी ख्वाहिश ने मुखाग्नि दी। मासूम बेटी को मुखाग्नि देते देख वहां मौजूद हजारों लोगों की आंखें नम हो गई।
इससे पहले शहीद मेजर का पार्थिव शरीर सुबह सूरतगढ़ के मिलिट्री स्टेशन से पैतृक गांव के लिए रवाना किया गया था। इस दौरान सड़क के दोनों तरफ बड़ी तादाद में खड़े लोगों ने अंतिम यात्रा पर फूल बरसाए और नारे लगाए। इस दौरान मानकसर और चेतक चौराहे पर शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू के अंतिम दर्शनों के लिए बड़ी संख्या में लोग उमड़े। लोगों ने नम आंखों के साथ शहीद के शव पर पुष्प अर्पित कर श्रद्धांजलि दी। बड़ी संख्या में लोगों ने तिरंगे के साथ लेकर शहीद मेजर विकास भांभू अमर रहे और भारत माता की जय के नारे लगाते रहे। शहीद को 18 स्थानों पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई।

अरूणाचल प्रदेश के सियांग जिले में शुक्रवार 21.10.2022 को सेना के हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने से मेजर विकास भांभू के शहीद होने की सूचना मिलते ही क्षेत्र में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई। इस सूचना से उनके पैतृक गांव रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा में उनके परिजन व ग्रामीण स्तब्ध है। शनिवार को दिन भर उनके पैतृक निवास पर ग्रामीणों व रिश्तेदारों का आना जारी रहा। मेजर विकास भांभू की शहादत पर उनके चाचा राजाराम भांभू व चचेरे भाई सुखवीर भांभू सहित परिजनों ने दुख व्यक्त किया लेकिन देश के लिए शहीद होने पर गर्व होना बताया। परिजनों ने कहा कि विकास हमेशा उनके साथ रहा। जिससे उसके जाने का दुख है लेकिन देश की रक्षा में हमारे परिवार का योगदान भी है। इसका हमें गर्व है। मेजर विकास भांभू अपने माता-पिता के साथ पिछले करीब दस सालों से जयपुर में निवास कर रहे थे लेकिन उनके दादा, ताऊ व चाचा सहित पूरा परिवार रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा में निवास करता है। यहां पर उनका पुश्तैनी मकान व कृषि भूमि है। मेजर विकास भांभू की पार्थिव देह रविवार को रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा में आने की संभावना है। जहां पर उनका राजकीय सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार होगा। एसडीएम शिवा चौधरी के अनुसार अरूणाचल प्रदेश से मेजर विकास भांभू का पार्थिव शरीर नई दिल्ली अथवा जयपुर एयरबैस पहुंचेगा। जहां से सड़क मार्ग से उसे रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा लाया जाएगा। अभी तक यह पुख्ता नहीं हो पाया है कि कब तक उनका पार्थिव शरीर गांव पहुंचेगा।
सितम्बर में आए थे रामपुरा: मेजर विकास भांभू सितम्बर के पहले सप्ताह में भटिण्डा एग्जाम देने आए थे। उसी दौरान वे अपने परिजनों से मिलने रामपुरा उर्फ रामसरा भी आए थे। रामपुरा में आगमन के दौरान उन्होंने आर्मी में ओर बड़ा अधिकारी बनने के लिए किए जा रहे प्रयासों की जानकारी परिजनों को दी थी तथा कहा था कि वे अपनी मेहनत व लगन से जल्दी ही उच्च पद प्राप्त करेंगे तथा फिर उनसे मिलने आएंगे लेकिन उनका सपना पूरा नहीं हो पाया। उनके चचेरे भाई सुखवीर भांभू ने बताया कि विकास सरल स्वभाव व सादगी पसंद थे। वे सेना के कठोर अनुशासन की पैरवी करते हुए इसे जरूरी मानते थे।

Vikas Bhambhu Awarded Sena Medal
The South Western Command of the Indian Army held its investiture ceremony at the Hisar Military Station where Army Commander Lt General Dhiraj Seth presented 10 Sena Medals (gallantry) and seven Vishisht Seva Medals on Saturday 25.02.2024. Veer Nari Shreya Choudhary received Sena Medal (gallantry) awarded to her husband Major Vikas Bhambhu posthumously. Major Bhambhu was a resident of Jaipur. The officer's father and mother were also present at the event. In the summer of 2022, there was a need to monitor enemy activities along the border. Major Bhambhu launched a reconnaissance mission to gain info about enemy patrolling. This mission involved extremely challenging flight operation in difficult terrain at an altitude of 16,000 feet. Major Bhambhu displayed indomitable courage by flying close to the dangerous border during patrol. The officer collected valuable information with extraordinary fighting skills, while ignoring the present danger. With the help of this information, further planning was enabled, and peace was maintained on the northern borders. For his display of determination and extraordinary gallantry, he was posthumously awarded the Sena Medal (gallantry).[1]
