Origin
Arki is supposed to get the name from place called Eran (एरण) fort. The residents of this fort were known as Arki. This fort was in possession of Varika (वारिक) King. [5]

- Arki (Jat clan) = Airakina (एरकिण) = Erana (एरण). Eran (एरण) is an ancient historical place in Bina tahsil of Sagar District in Madhya Pradesh, India. Eran is derived from Eraka. The word erakā probably refers to a kind of grass which grows at Eran in abundance. [6] Eraka (एरक) is also the name of a Nagavanshi King descended from Kauravya mentioned in Mahabharata (I.52.12).
- Aki (Jat clan) = Acina. Acina or ššina was one of the last kings of the kingdom of Elam, and ruled briefly in 522 BCE. He was toppled by Darius I and later depicted in chains in the Behistun Inscription.[7]

Pliny[8] mentions Lake Mieotis and the adjoining nations....Next to these are the rivers Menotharus and Imityes, which flow from the Cissian mountains, among the peoples called the Acdei, the Carnæ, the Oscardei, the Accisi, the Gabri, the Gogari, and, around the source of the Imityes, the Imityi, and the Apatræi.

Pliny[9] mentions....We then come to the Sabæi, a nation of Scenitæ29, with numerous islands, and the city of Acila30, which is their mart, and from which persons embark for India.
