Atus
Atus (अटूस) or Atoos is a village in Kiraoli tahsil of Agra district in Uttar Pradesh. It is the main village of Chhaunkar Khap.
Location
It is situated 15km away from Kiraoli town and 19km away from Agra city. Atus village has got its own gram panchayat. Bhilawati, Kathwari and Kukathala are some of the nearby villages.

21. छौंकर पाल - इस खाप के मथुरा जनपद में 48 गांव, अलीगढ़ में 28 गांव, आगरा जनपद में 10 गांव, जिनमें अछनेरा, अटूस, अरदाया मुख्य हैं. अटूस के कर्नल प्रताप सिंह गणमान्य व्यक्ति हुए हैं. मथुरा में इसी खाप के प्रमुख गांव कंजौली, अकोस, मंडौरा और भिड़ावली हैं.[1]

Population of Atus according to Census 2011, stood at 4465 (Males: 2405, Females: 2060).[2]
Notable persons
- Col. Pratap Singh - Born at village Atus in Agra district in Uttar Pradesh on 7 July 1912. He joined Army in 1932. He retired as Lt. Colonel in 1968 but on account of his excellent service records he was called in the Army for two more years. Earlier he was awarded Member of British Empire (MBE) by the Queen of England. He was also awarded with keshar-i-hind. After retirement he had settled at his village Atus. He died on Saturday 27 June 2009.[3]
