Badhal (बाधल)[1]or Bhadal (बधाल) is Gotra of Jats found in Rajasthan and Punjab.

Origin

This gotra gets name after Badhal Village in Phulera tahsil of Jaipur district, Rajasthan.[2]

History

A group of Tomar Jats settled at place which was later known as Badhala. According to Bhat records a chieftain named Khadgal (खडगल) settled along with his companions and made it as his cantonment. This place later was known as Khandela. Khandelawati was popular after this warrior named Khadgal. after many genarations was born a person named Badhal (बधाल). He established his rule at Badhal Village. Khandela and Badhal Village are 30 miles apart. They ruled here from 10-14th century under Bhomiachara system. [3]
