Bawanthadi River

Bawanthadi River (बावनथड़ी नदी) is an important river which originates in the Kurai plateau of Seoni District in Madhya Pradesh.[1] It divides Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra near Mowad (Khairlanji, Balaghat) and Bonkatta (Tirodi, Balaghat). The Bawanthadi River joins Wainganga after flowing 48 km south, near Mowad (Khairlanji, Balaghat), Madhya Pradesh.

Course
Bawanthadi River originates from the Kurai plateau of Seoni District in Madhya Pradesh. The river enters Bhandara District of Maharashtra by flowing towards south and functions as an interstate boundary between two states. It merges with the Wainganga River after running about 48 km. A dam is being constructed across this river at Sitekasa village of Maharashtra.
