Origin

Borgaon derives name from the marathi word 'BOR' (Hindi:Ber) due to its abundance in the area. which means the fruit which has it's special value and also one of the famous fruit among every Indian. It dates back around to 100-200 years when it was founded.

All villagers are followers of "PANDHURANG VITTHAL" mean to say majority of them are varkaris . Nearly 50% of the villagers are engaged in doing their farming activities and since our's is also a industrial area the rest 50% are employed in various industries situated in that industrial and one great thing that industrial area is known as "A.K.V.N" i.e Ayoudaikik Kendriya Vikas Nigam". The companies mainly comprising are Raymond Textile Limited and P.B.M polymers limited.

The village is the land of saints. It is birth place of the famous saint "PARKHI BABA". Also in the all the major festivals all the villagers come up enthusiastically and participate in all the major festivals mainly GANESH CHATHURTHI, NAVRATRI ,EKADASHI and to particularly mention also organise every year "AKHAND HARINAAM SAPTHA".
