Chomu
Chomu (चोमू) is a city and tehsil in Jaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.
Origin of name
Chomu gets name after the Chaumuhagarh constructed by Nathawat Ruler Thakur Karn Singh in samvat 1652-54 (1595-97 AD) under the blessings of Sant Benidas.[1]

As of 2001 India census, Chomu had a population of 50,717. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Chomu has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 75% and female literacy of 49%. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
