Dadarwal
Dadarwal (दादरवाल)[1] [2] is gotra of Jats found in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. It is same as Dadar.
Origin
- This gotra derives its name from the place called Dadarheda (ददरहेड़ा). [3], situated in Kishangarh Bas tahsil in in Alwar district.
- Dadarsi of Behustun Inscription (Line-26) may be the originator of the clan. Dadarsi was a Persian general of Armenian[4] origin and satrap of Bactria.[5] He served the Persian King Darius I the Great (522-486 BCE). He was ordered to suppress a revolt in Margiana.[6]
