History

The place is associated with the history of Burdak clan. As par the bards, Burdaks founded village Sarnau near Khandelsar in Sikar Rajasthan. The village Sarnau is now an abandoned village. When we go on road from village Ranoli situated on NH-11 to Kochhor we find a village Khandelsar near Kochhor. In the rohi (Agricultural land) of Khandelsar village there is a site with some ancient ruins of habitation. This site is about 7 kms from Jeenmata and is closer to village Raipura. This place has been identified as the old Sarnau village where the Burdaks first settled.[3] The village Raipura is situated between Khandelsar and Gowati. [4]. As per bards in the village Sarnau there was a war between Burdaks and Dhakas. Burdaks defeated Dhakas. But later on with the help of Mugal emperor, Dhakas defeated and killed all Burdaks in Sarnau. One Kharra gotra woman who was married in Burdaks was escaped and she went to her pihar at Gothra (Tagalan) village. She was pregnant at that time. She gave birth to a child in nanihal at Gothra (Tagalan) village. Burdaks in Rajasthan are descendant of this sole child. The sole survivor woman was a devotee of god Gusainji. Burdaks consider Gusainji as their kuladevata and pay homage to the deity at place called Junjala near Nagaur city.
