Lal Chand Phogat
Rai Bahadur Lal Chand Phogat (राव बहादुर चौधरी लालचंद जी) was one of the foremost political personalities of the 1st half of 20th century, in the undivided Punjab.
Birth and death
He was born at Bhalaut village of district Rohtak He was a contemporary of Sir Chhotu Ram and a leading social reformer. He married into a Sikh Jat family of Punjab. He died in the 1960s and was survived by 3 sons and a daughter.
His sons
His eldest son late Capt. Raghuvendra Singh was the founder of the DLF Empire of Delhi and died some years ago at the ripe age of 90 plus. He is survived by his daughters and his son-in-law Kushal Pal Singh Tewatia , who today heads the DLF.
The middle son late Kunwar Shamsher Singh was an outstanding officer of the British time IP and served as Inspector General of Police (prior to becoming DGP) in Punjab in the 1970s.
The youngest son Ch. Devinder Singh is a well-known businessman of Chandigarh with interests in Punjab and Haryana.
Adaption ceremony on 10.01.1915 at Kadipur
This photograph was taken infront of the Havelis of Tek Chand Kadipur (Jatrana) Jaildar and his younger brother Bhim Singh Kadipur (Jatrana) on 10.01.1915 at the adaption ceremony of Maha Singh by Ch. Tek Chand at village Kadipur Delhi. The leader of ceremony was Pt Brahmanand. This ceremony was attended by about 200 people mainly the elite prominent Jats including - Rai Bahadur Ch Lal Chand of Bhalot, Ch. Baldev Singh, first Headmaster of Jat School Rohtak, Ch. Sheria Singh, Ch Molar Singh, Ch Rajmal (all from Bohar Rohtak, Khusal Bakhetewale etc. Ch Tek Chand gave Rs 5100/- to Gurukul Kangri and Rs. 100/- to Jat School Rohtak.

सीकर ठिकाने की चाल
ठाकुर देशराज[1] ने लिखा है ....सीकर ठिकाने ने इस बीच आंदोलन को ठंडा करने के लिए एक और चाल चली। राव बहादुर चौधरी लालचंद जी की सिफारिश किए हुए किसी चौधरी राजसिंह को सीकर में फौजदार (मुंशिफ) और ठाकुर झम्मन सिंह जी मंत्री जाट महासभा के एक स्वजन ठाकुर साहब सिंह जी को तहसीलदार के ओहदे पर लेकर बाहरी जाटों की जबान बंद करनी चाही किंतु इससे उसे फायदा कुछ भी नहीं हुआ। यूं तो उसने कुदन के चौधरी सुखदेव जी को जाट आंदोलन के खिलाफ इस्तेमाल किया किंतु जब दावानल लगती है तो उसे ओस के कण नहीं भुजा सकते।
