Mahota

Mahota (महोता) gotra Jats live in Sindh and Punjab provinces in Pakistan. Mahota is the sub cast of Jats , but some Mahotas believe that they are the sub caste of Baloch, some think them belonging to Awan and some consider themselves as Rajputs. In Jats some believe that they are Kharal, Bhati or Somra. Most probably Mahota sub caste is the cast of Abra.
