Panehra Kalan (पन्हेड़ा कलाँ) is a village in Ballabgarh Tehsil of Faridabad district in Haryana, India.

Location

It is situated 14km away from sub-district headquarter Ballabgarh and 18km away from district headquarter Faridabad.The total geographical area of village is 323 hectares.

Panehra Kalan has a total population of 3,382 peoples. There are about 599 houses in Panehra Kalan village. As per 2019 stats, Panehra Kalan villages comes under Prithla assembly & Faridabad parliamentary constituency.Ballabhgarh is nearest town to Panehra Kalan.

History of Jats in the Village

This village has majority of Brahmin community. Many years ago, there was only one clan of jat used to lived in the village Tewatias. They invited Nauhwar's from Jatoli village to live with them in the Panehra Kalan . Jatoli has majority of Nauhwar Jats .A man named SH. Ajiram Singh Nauhwar migrated from Jatoli to Panhera Kalan . There was only one Jat Sarpanch elected from the village uptill now Late. SH. Bati Singh Sarpanch from Nauhwar clan .He was grandson of SH. Ajiram Singh Nauhwar. Later Lamba joined the village.

Paltu Jat and Bhola Jat Story

Once there was a time when Brahmins used to torture Jats in the village as they were in the majority and jats were in minority. People say Paltu Jat had a well-built, strong body and belonged to Nauhwar clan. He and Bhola jat stood in front of Brahmins and it is a saying that when they came out with their lath (wooden/ bamboo sticks), Brahmins used to close their gates out of fear. Paltu Jat was son of Sh. Ajiram Singh Nauhwar and father of Late Sh. Bati Singh Sarpanch.
