Odra (ओद्र) Odhra (ओध्र) Odrah (ओद्रा) Odhran (ओधरान) Ond (ओंद) Audhran (औधरान) Odhran/Audhran (ओढ्रान) gotras of Jats found in Punjab are considered branch of Andhaka clan originated from Udra.
History
No. 4 Kuruspal Stone Inscription of Somesvaradeva[1] mentions certain contemporary kings, Most of these kings are mentioned here by the names of their countries or capitals, those quite clear being Uḍra, Lanji, Ratnapura, Lemṇa, Vengi, Bhadrapattana and Vajra.
Udra is the old name of Orissa.
उड्र-उंड्र
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...उड्र (AS, p.89) ओडिशा का प्राचीन नाम उड्र, उड्डियानपीठ और उत्कल था-- 'पांड्याश्च द्रविडांश्चैव सहितांश्चोड्रकेरलै:, आन्ध्रास्तालवनांश्चैव कलिंगानुष्ट्रकर्णिकान्।' [3] इस उद्धरण में उड्र का पाठांतर उंड्र भी है। (देखें कलिंग, उत्कल) कुछ विद्वानों का मत है कि द्रविड़ भाषाओं में उड्डि शब्द का अर्थ किसान है और शायद उड्र देश का नाम इसी शब्द से सम्बन्धित है।

Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 48 mentions Sahadeva's march towards south: kings and tribes defeated. Udra (उद्र) is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.28.48). [4]
Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 47 mentions the Kings who brought tributes to Yudhishthira: Odra (ओड्र) is in Mahabharata (II.47.19) [5]....I also saw numberless Chinas and Sakas and Odras and many barbarous tribes living in the woods, and many Vrishnis and Harahunas, and dusky tribes of the Himavat, and many Nipas and people residing in regions on the sea-coast, waiting at the gate being refused permission to enter.
Vana Parva, Mahabharata/Book III Chapter 48 describes Rajasuya sacrifice of Yudhisthira attended by the chiefs of many islands and countries. Udra (उड्र) Mahabharata (III.48.18).[6]
