Bissau

Bissau (बिसाहू) or Bisau (बिसाहू)is a town in Jhunjhunun district in Rajasthan. Its old name was 'Vishala Jat Ki Dhani' (विशाला जाट की ढाणी).

Bissau is located at 28.25°N 75.08°E. It has an average elevation of 292 metres. As of 2001 India census, Bissau had a population of 21,133. Bissau is 34 kms from Jhunjhunu in northwest direction on Jhunjhunu-Churu Road.
Origin
Its original name was 'Vishala Jat Ki Dhani'. Keshari Singh son of Shardul Singh of Sikar Thikana got this village in Jagir. Keshari Singh constructed a palace here and the boundary wall for defence and named this habitation as Bissau in samvat 1812 (1755 AD). [1]
