Lathar (लाठर) Lather (लाठर) Lathor (लाठोर) Laathar (लाठर) Lathal (लाठल) is gotra of Jats found in Haryana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Lathar (लथर) Jats live in Uttar Pradesh. [1] Lath clan is found in Afghanistan.[2]

Origin

This gotra has originated from country China Lath (चीन लाठ). [3]

History

H. W. Bellew writes that Lath or Las may stand for the Lais or Laith of Sistan, whose dynasty flourished there after the Tahiri. [4]
