Move Log

Namaste, Ashok ji and Burdak sir! User:Dahiya1208 has moved a couple of pages, and I request you to look into that: https://www.jatland.com/home/Special:Log/move

Kindly fix this! I do not want to do that myself, because I do not want to risk loosing any content. You understand this better than me, so I request you to fix this. Later on, when I would get a considerable amount of free time, I will look into his edits to separate the good from the bad (too many edits). With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 14:15, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Kindly also look into the "Moves" by User:Vikramsiwach I think that while trying to fix his moves, I may have also made a mistake. What should be the title of the page Sohanjani Jattan. Ashok ji, kindly fix this, please! With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 14:23, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Also, kindly fix the related re-directs also. They may have gotten disrupted. With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 14:26, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

In the weekend, I will look into the edits made by User:Dahiya1208, and separate the good from the bad. With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 18:44, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Include these countries in Introduction please

Jat minority.png

The first line of the main introduction section says that Jats are found in India and Pakistan . Well in Iran, Afghanistan , Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Nepal also have "Jats" as the ethnic group. The plain region of Nepal which is close to the districts of Uttar Pradesh like Pilibhit has few Jat population. As for Iran, Afghanistan , Uzbekistan, Tajikistan goes I'm attaching links where it shows Jats are in minority. So please update the information .

Solankivich (talk) 23:23, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Solankivich

Namaste, Solanki Ji. First of all, thank you for your edits to the existing Wiki articles, and for creating several new articles on Wiki.

Well, what you are asking is not feasible to do, at least not in the very direct way, how you are asking to add the content suggested by you to the introduction on the main article on Jats. However, it may be added to some relevant articles on Wiki. Senior editors are requested to kindly have a look at the content (and sources) being suggested by Solanki Ji, and may decide to add it wherever feasible.

Solanki Ji, I would like to bring to your attention that, generally, YouTube videos are not cited as references on encyclopedias.

Advice: Even while choosing books, journals, etc. as sources, a good user should be cautious about the quality of the source that is being chosen for citation to add content on Wiki. This is done to maintain the quality of content on the encyclopedia. With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 10:53, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Solanki Ji, you may want to read: Jats#Jat People Genetics and Jats#DNA study on Y-STR Haplogroup Diversity in the Jat Population. With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 11:02, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
So let me ask you one thing if the official page of DD news, BBC or UN upload some video from their channel on youtube, is it a reliable source or not ? Minority Rights is an international organization and its data is also used by lots of international organization like United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Choice is yours I was just suggesting. Thank you Regards Solankivich (talk)
Solanki Ji, kindly note that I have not questioned your sources. You may see that, actually, I have written above, "Senior editors are requested to kindly have a look at the content (and sources) being suggested by Solanki Ji, and may decide to add it wherever feasible." What I wrote above was only an advice to help you become an even better contributor.

In answer to your question, I would say that if anything is broadcasted at the official YouTube channel of a media outlet, it is, almost always, published in text also by them on their official websites. And, the website-links of those news articles from their websites can definitely be considered to be used as a source to add contents on the Wiki articles.

However, this is not the reason for my above stated opinion on your suggestion of adding the suggested content on the main article on Jats. What you are asking is simply not feasible to add to the introduction! With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 14:41, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Can the para suggested to be added on Jat People page be drafted here and where is it to be added be pointed out? Laxman Burdak (talk) 04:46, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Village naming convention

Sorry for the inconvenience, I did it by mistake sir. I will pay more attention next time. Thank you for the advice and reverting it. User:Solankivich (talk)

John Paul Tewatia

Informing User:Dndeswal ji User:Lrburdak ji, User:HardeepMoar ji Respected Admins, on pages like Tevatia, Janauli, Gulaothi, Janoothar, Bhatona and many more. It is mentioned that some guy named John Paul Tewatia founded Janauli Village around 2000 years ago.

  • So my questions is
  • a) Was he "John Paul Tewatiya" or "Jan Pal" Tewatiya (just guessing) ? If not "John Paul" then it can be some kind of a minor mistake.
  • b) According to the information which posted on 2005 that was 15 years ago (as of May 2020). So 2000 + 15 + 25 (guessing the age of mysterious John Paul Tewatia in which he may have founded Janauli Village). So John Paul Tewatia was born roughly around 2040 BC, that makes our John Paul Twatiya ji older than.
    • 1)Jesus Christ, born 4 BC - Died 30 AD (36 years after John Paul Tewatia was born) - Founder of Christianity.
    • 2)John the Baptist born 1 BC - Died 28 AD (mostly born after John Paul Tewatia was born) after whom the name John came and
    • 3)Paul the Apostle born 5 AD - Died 64 AD ( 45 year after John Paul Tewatia was born) after whom the name Paul came
    • 4) The first Pope Saint Peter sent the first Christian Missionary to India was Thomas the Apostle in year 54 AD (94 year after John Paul Tewatiawas born)
  • Please change it because according to the facts the information about John Paul Tewatia is inaccurate.
  • There are many misinformation on this website, specially about people in history (making them Jats without any proof)
  • regards

Solankivich Ji, thank you for raising this question. Seniors are requested to look into the content of pages suggested by Solanki Ji. With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 12:14, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
We have to be very specific about changes to be made with evidences and references. We can not change because it does not suit us. Some member of community has added and he may have some evidences. So we have to find out who had added a particular content which a member wants to change and then discuss with him. This is fundamental principal of wiki edits. Regards, Laxman Burdak (talk) 04:23, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Use of word Tribe

The use of tribe word for Indian communities was started by British historians during British Rule in India. Prior to this No such word existed in Indian history or any epic. The words used were Gotra, Kula, Vansha etc. The English translation of these words is Clan. It is therefore proposed to replace word tribe with Clan in articles on Jatland. Mind it, it is not to be changed in the books on Jatland as we can not change the content of the book! Regards, Laxman Burdak (talk) 04:14, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Lrburdak Ji, noted. With respect and best regards, HardeepMoar (talk) 03:58, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Policy about user page of dead members

The information on user pages are added by members themselves. Our respected member Dr Raj Pal Singh Janghu died on 14.03.2019. We salute him and pay respect for his contribution. We have to decide what changes to do on his user page: User:DrRajpalSingh. Members may give suggestion. Laxman Burdak (talk) 07:08, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 07:57, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Redirect talk pages to Chaupal

With respect and best regards, — HardeepMoar (talk) 07:28, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

--Ashok (Talk) 18:38, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

New Great and useful template!

ChReyanshSingh (talk) 21:15, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Template:m-ref,

I have seen that many wiki-pages were having references in subscripted by the unicode like the book, "Jat Veeron Ka Itihas" by D S Ahlawat. So, the pages like it I have tried to create a template namely, Template:mref where M stands for 'Middle' and ref is obviously our 'reference(s)', i.e. Middle reference(s) or references in middle of a page, as the followed template allows you to create referencive box within a section by the unicode of <ref></ref> on every section, It's just a Sectional Referensive Box.
Like if you are Wikifying some book and it's page 1 having 2 references, (see page 1 below.)
Create section named Page 1 (by typing == Page 1 ==)
add content from next line to it and made references on each page as per it.

Page 1

content of the page[1], from the next line.[2] and at the end of the page, just type "{{mref}}" and after this typing you get sectional ref. box (see below!)

References
  1. ref 1 of page 1
  2. ref 2 of page 1

Page 2

content of the page[1], from the next lines.[2]

now just type "{{mref}}"

References
  1. ref 1 of page 2
  2. ref 2 of page 2

Conclusions

As you have seen, how usefully this template creates a 'Sectional reference box' between the sections.

Activation

To use this Template you have to type {{mref}} at the end of the section of that Wikipage, it will put all your references of that particular section at it's end, Hopefully Useful.
For more- see, Template:mref. Ch.Reyansh Singh (talk) 03:46, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

Let us try it with some new book to be uploaded in near future! Laxman Burdak (talk) 05:06, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

The first achievements made by a Jat in every field in the modern world.

Dear Moderators,

Kindly add this section to:- The work done or achieved by any Jat for the first time.

Hope, you all understood. What I mean to say?!?

Laxman Burdak (talk) 12:16, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

Dates should equivalent important.

The topic is crucial but it's essential as well to be discussed,
When we (or any other member) use any phrase regarding a person or any battle/war, and just typed the name; it can be quite confusing to the reader.
As a team it's our duty to provide information to the reader that is accurate and not the confusing one. The reason behind writing this is the article page named "Ram Dal."
For example if I write the name as,

  • (on one side) Rath Pal Henga defeated Abd al-Ullah ibn Samura of Umayyad Caliphate of Arabs.
  • (on other side) Rath Pal Henga (690-725 CE) defeated the Umayyad Caliphate Abd al-Ullah ibn Samura of Arabs in 697-698 CE.

And about battle as,

  • (on one side) Sassanian emperor Peroz I was defeated and killed by Hephthal Jats.
  • (on other side) Sassanian monarch Peroz I (459-484 CE) was defeated and killed by the Hephthal Jats in 484 CE under their King Akhshunwar (478-488 CE).

One can clearly see that which one is preferable while reading, and as official website (contributors) of Jats, we should provide information that is more adorable, it's our duty to make the content more adorable. Please see the page Ram Dal and you will definitely understand the importance of mentioning the dates. Regards.
