Khareta (खारेटा) is a village in Hindaun tehsil of Karauli district of Rajasthan.

Village - Khareta (खरैता/खरैटा) , Tehsil - Hindaun , District - Karauli , Rajasthan Pincode 322230. Khareta is a Gram Panchayat village , it covers the the villages Khareta , Jhirna and Vaman Pura Goojar. आसपास के गांव - झिरना , वमन पुरा गूजर , मोतियापुर , करसौली , भांगो , दुनावली , चिनयता , कल्याणपुर सत्यी , कोटा पुरा , कलवारी पट्टी , जागर , नथोले का पुरा , मुंडा का पुरा । खरैटा गांव हिंडौन सिटी से लगभग 12 किमी दूरी पर जागर डैम के पास स्थित है। गांव में भेरों मन्दिर और बजरंगबली मन्दिर हैं। एक गांव खरेंटा भी जिला करौली में है जो करौली से लगभग 14 किमी दूरी पर स्थित है ।

According to Hukum Singh Panwar (Pauria), The Khar or Kher or Kharata or Khareta and possibly the Kharb Jats are the descendants of the Saka Ksharatas mentioned in the Indian Epigraphs or the Karatai Scythians.[1]
