Location of Rahnawah in Sikar district

Rahnawa (रहनावा) is a Jakhar dominated Jat village in Laxmangarh tehsil of Sikar district in Rajasthan.

Population

As per Census-2011 statistics, Rahnawa village has the total population of 1899 (of which 1007 are males while 892 are females).

History

ठाकुर देशराज ने लिखा है ....चौधरी ईसर जी - [पृ.493]: चौधरी गंगाराम जी के पुराने साथियों में छोटे भूमा के चौधरी ईसर जी का नाम भी उल्लेखनीय है। आप ढाका गोत्र के जाट चौधरी बीजाराम जी के पुत्र हैं। इस समय आपकी 50 साल से ऊपर उम्र होगी।

संवत 1979 (1922 ई.) के लगान बढ़ाने पर आरंभ किए गए आंदोलन में आपने बड़ा काम किया। इस आंदोलन में पूरां के चौधरी हनुमाना और रहनावा के फड़सी ने भी काफी काम किया। उस समय कूदन के पेमा चौधरी और पनलावा के सेवा चौधरी को जेल में दे रखा। उन्हें छुड़ाने के लिए तिलोकाराम मील का बेटा हनुमानाराम और घुमा एजेंट साहब जयपुर के पास पहुंचे थे।

• Lans Naik Daya Chand Jakhar (01.07.1967 - 12.06.1999) - Martyr of Kargil War

• Dr. Shrichand Jakhar: Dr. Shrichand Jakhar was born in 1978 at a small village of Sikar distt. known as Rahanawa. He did his schooling up to 8th standard from the village school. He was an awardee of the rural talent scholarship from Govt. of Rajasthan based on the competitive examination. His secondary and intermediate schooling was completed at the S R Sr. Sec. School Laxmangarh. Govt. of Rajasthan awarded him National Scholarship to secure 60th position in the secondary education board examination. He graduated in Science (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) from B D Todi College Laxmangarh. He got admitted to Department of Physics, University of Rajasthan Jaipur to complete his masters degree in Physics. He showed his academic excellence by qualifying for the National Eligibility Test (NET) while he was yet to complete his masters degree. He qualified the NET (JRF) two times later with securing his position among top 20% in the merit list. Immediately after completing his masters degree in Physics, he was selected as technical trainee at Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Bhat, Gandhinagar. After successful completion of this training program, he started his professional career as Scientist-SC and currently working as Scientist-SF. While working at IPR, he also completed his doctorate degree from Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai in 2016. He got his doctorate degree in the field of fusion neutronics. He also got opportunity to work at International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), an International project being erected at France, in different capacities, Diagnostic Physicist and Nuclear Analyst. He is currently working in the same organization on deputation from his parent institute.

• Birja Ram Dhayal (29.12.1941 - 18.11.1962) was from Rahnawa village in Laxmangarh tehsil of Sikar district in Rajasthan. He became martyr on 18.11.1962 during Indo-Chinsa war 1962.
