Sarsena (सरसैना) or Sarsaina (सरसैना) is a large village in Wair tahsil of district Bharatpur in Rajasthan.

History

Fateh Singh Sinsinwar was younger son of Jat leader Raja Ram Zamindar of Sinsini. Fateh Singh had five wives, whose sons founded different villages. Sons of Fifth wife of Fateh Singh, son of Raja Ram, founded this village Sarsaina near Halaina. A Royal chattri has been founded by the followers of Thakur Fateh Singh at Sarsaina, which is very beautiful in its own and it's worshipped by all people there. [1]

There are three big Temples in the village.

  • Angadiya Baba mandir, which is located at nyotha road and dedicated to Hanuman ji Maharaj.
  • Devnarayan Mandir located at Halena road and dedicated to lok devta Dev Narayan Bhagwan.
  • Jugal Kishor mandir situated at Mandir khoont at a mid point of village. This temple id dedicated to Lord Krishna & Radha Rani (childhood). The Temple is very old and rejuvenate by the villagers.

Population

According to Census-2011 information:

With total 867 families residing, Sarsaina village has the population of 5090 (of which 2708 are males while 2382 are females).[2]
