Dadak (दादक) gotra of Jats have originated from Chaudhari Dadava (दादव). [1]
History
According to Rajatarangini[2]Dandaka was a very respectable man who was with the king Kalasha, father of Harsha (r.1089-1111 AD) king of Kashmir.

- Ram Singh Dandak (ठाकुर रामसिंह ) from Pachokhara, Datia, Madhya Pradesh, was a social worker and freedom fighter. [3]
- ठाकुर गणेशसिंह – [पृ.556]: दतिया राज्य की सेवड़ा तहसील में खड़ऊआ नाम के गांव में दांदक गोत्र के ठाकुर गणेशसिंह जी एक प्रसिद्ध जाट सरदार हैं। अवस्था आपकी लगभग 50 साल होगी। इसी गांव में इसी गोत्र के दूसरे जाट सरदार ठाकुर भवानीसिंह जी के सुपुत्र ठाकुर चित्तर सिंह जी हैं। आपकी उम्र 25 साल के आसपास है। दोनों ही संपन्न आदमी हैं।[4]
