Adooka (अडूका) (Aduka) is a large village in Chirawa tahsil in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan.

Location

It is situated five kms away from Chirawa on Chirawa--Singhana--Khetari Road.

Jat Gotras

In the extended area of the populated Adooka colonies towards Chirawa town the Jats belonging to Sihag, Dhatarwal and Maan gotra have built their habitations.

History

Adooka was a fiefe of Shekhawat Rajputs under the Khetri Native State. Thakur Raghbir Singh Shekhawat contested election after independence for the post of Sarpanch of Nyaya Panchayat but was defeated by Chaudhary Birbal Singh Lamba of Bigodhana.

Population

The Adooka village has the total population of 4423, of which 2315 are males while 2108 are females (as per Population Census 2011).[1]

  • बालू राम ढाणी अडूका - 15 जून 1946 को झुंझुनू में किसान कार्यकर्ताओं की एक बैठक चौधरी घासी राम ने बुलाई. शेखावाटी के प्रमुख कार्यकर्ताओं ने इसमें भाग लिया. अध्यक्षता विद्याधर कुलहरी ने की. इसमें यह उभर कर आया कि भविष्य में समाजवादी विचारधारा को अपनाया जाये. जिन व्यक्तियों ने किसान सभा का अनुमादन किया उनमें आप भी सम्मिलित थे.
