Origin

Bochalya Jat gotra is said to have originated from Chandravanshi Kuru king Vichitravirya (विचित्रवीर्य) of Hastinapura mentioned in the great epic, the Mahābhārata. But no further connexion between him and the gotra is explained.

Khuri Khari (Khuri Sujangarh) was a thikan of 12 villages under Bidawats. There is a Chhatri of Bochalya Jats who died in fighting with Bidawats. There is an Inscription of SV 1398 (=1341 AD) in Khuri Sujangarh about this war in the Chhatri.
