Gabhana is a town and tahsil in Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh.

Location

Gabhana is 125 kms from New Delhi on Delhi - Aligarh NH91. Gabhana happened to be one of the most progressive Villages during British India, having pucca broad roads, teaching training centre, Sanskrit Pathshala, schools, hospital, Mango orchids and well laid out village streets. Lakha Bazar was a big market catering to nearby villages in radius of 7 to 10 kms. Gabhana was a Riyasat consisting 80 villages in British India. Members of Royal family have later represented the constituency in UP Vidhan Sabha and also in Parliament. In post independence era Gabhana has seen strong public participation in development of Gabhana Gram Panchayat under dynamic and exemplary leadership of Gram Pradhans like Devi Sharan Mittal in 1950's and 60's.
