Solanki Jat history of Palam
Solankis Before Coming To Palam
Raja Rai Singh Solanki in Vikram Samant 650 (Gregorian calendar 593 AD) founded the town of Todaraisingh Village in Tonk. Rai Singh had two sons Jai Dev Singh Solanki, who was a saint and took samadhi at the age of 120. The other son was Rao Dharamdev Singh Solanki. Rao Karamchand Singh Solanki was son of Rao Dharamdev Singh Solanki, who left Todaraisingh with all his tribe due to some reason of invasion or natural calamity like water scarcity and founded Palam Village on 5 June 781 AD (838 Vikram Samant) which was near Sahibi river a tributary of Yamuna river.
Founding Palam and Dada dev Mandir
Raja Rao Karamchand Solanki left his village Toda in Tonk with his Solanki Tribe and carried the sheela of Jai Dada Dev/Jai Dev Solanki. The Solanki tribe marched between the jungles and fought other tribes of hills and jungle. 5 June 781 AD (838 Vikram Samwant) (jeshth Maas ki shekel paksh mai) they reached the current place of Palam Village and laid the foundation of Dada Dev Mandir. In the memory of Jai Dada Dev/Jai Dev Solanki who was a saint and uncle of Rao Karamchand Solanki sardar of Solanki clan.

Karar Singh Chattri Palam
- The 15th Sardar of Palam was Rao Jeet Singh Solanki (Jeeta) who was a Jat and ruled from 1648 to 1691, he was very strong leader and had a large army. Jeeta had a brother Rao Karar Singh Solanki (1604-1681). Like other Royal families Karar Singh also had hobbies of hunting and luxury. In July of 1681 AD he went on for hunting in the nearby Aravalli hill forest (which is now in between Mehrauli and Faridabad area). While hunting he got lost in the hills but found out the whereabouts of the enemy tribe, their hiding camps and villages. This tribe was an archenemy of Jats and use to steal cows and buffalos. Upon locating them he started a battle and killed many of them. Karar Singh didnt had army with him just his other Royal friends and personal bodyguards, against many villages who were expert in fighting and hiding in the hills. Karar Singh was outnumbered and killed. When Jeet Singh Solanki's brother Karar Singh didn't reach Palam after many days of hunting expedition, he sent his spies in that area and came to know about his death. Jeet Singh called out all his Khap Pardhans for support, specially the Pardhan of Tihar who had 12 villages under him, he was a Muslim Tyagi, an official set by the Badshah to be a coordinator in between Mughal court and the warring rebel Jats and their Khaps of that area. Alamgir Aurangzeb was the Mughal Badshah at that time and he had no other option but to send help to Palam because of the insurgencies by the Jats of Braj he just faced and a lesson learnt about the powers of Jats and Jeet Singh was relatives of many of those Jats . Though Palam Khap was also an enemy of Mughals and they have supported their clansmen Kanha Rawat, Gokul Singh and Ram Singh. But Aurangzeb couldn't afford another Jat rebellion at that time for no reason and he was forced to send help to Palam. Palam Army, other Khap battalions and support of the Badshah they marched towards the hiding camps of the thieving tribe and destroyed their territory. Settled many Jat villages in that area to keep the remaining cattle robbers away. Pardhan of Tihar was gifted 12 more villages to his khap and had 24 village after this. A Chhatri was built behind Shiv Mandir of Badiyal Panna of Palam Village in year 1691 in the memory of the brave Karar Singh because of whom the Jats got rid of the cattle thieves which was a very major issue in that time. The Chhatri is still there and it is called Chaudhary Karar Singh Chhatri.
