Praveen Kumar
Praveen Kumar is an Indian cricketer who has played One Day International cricket for his country and first-class cricket for Uttar Pradesh in India. He was born on 2 July 1986 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. His father Sakat Singh is a head constable in Meerut. His mother is Smt. Murti Devi. Praveen Kumar is a Jat of Khaiwal Gotra from Laprana Village in Shamli area district Muzaffar Nagar. Praveen kumar is the new sensation of Indian cricket. In Ausralia tour he showed his talent by taking a 4 wicket haul in two matches(Including the Final). Due to this performance of his, India won the One day Series.[1]

Right-arm medium pace bowler
He is a a right-arm medium pace bowler who relies on his ability to swing the ball both ways along with line and length over speed. Because of his ability to swing the ball, he is most effective when given the new ball. Along with being a great opening bowler, he is known to be an effective and aggressive pinch hitter with the bat, sometimes even surprising the opposition by opening an innings.
Career
First Class
Kumar plays his domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. He made his first-class debut in 2004 and enjoyed success at this level by taking 126 wickets in 25 matches at an average of just 21.50. He has also excelled at the shorter version of the game at the list A level, taking 67 wickets in 39 matches at an average of 22.05.
International
Praveen almost jeopardized his international career by signing with the rebel Indian Cricket League, however decided at the last minute to finish his season with Uttar Pradesh. With his impressive figures in domestic cricket and successful stints with India A, Kumar made his One-day International debut in the fifth one-day international against Pakistan on November 18th 2007. [2]He bowled his full quota of ten overs, conceding 50 runs without taking a wicket before going on to score 12 runs in a match India lost by 31 runs in Jaipur. Praveen went wicketless in his second ODI too. However, he produced a great spell of 4 for 31 in his third ODI thus helping India beat Sri Lanka on February 26, 2008 Scorecard Cricinfo.
In the second final of the series on 4 March 2008, he took 4 wickets for 46 runs against Australia, and was declared Man of the Match.
Indian Premier League
Although he was not part of the player auction, Praveen will play for the Bangalore Royal Challengers in BCCI's Indian Premier League in the inaugural Twenty20 cricket tournament to be held in India. His services were bought for 300,000.00 USD. Because of his age, Kumar will count towards Bangalore's U-22 quota.
Khel Ratna Award
The Government of Uttar Pradesh has awarded him the Kanshi Ram Khel Ratna Purashkar on the occasion of birth day of Late Shri Kanshi Ram.[3]

जाट वीरो व जाट विरांगनाओ के परिवार में जन्मे भारतीय तेज गेंदबाज प्रवीण कुमार जाट वीर का जन्म 2 अक्टूबर 1986 को शामली के गांव लपराना में खैवाल जाट वीरों के परिवार मे हुआ. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर के पिता चौधरी सकत सिंह खैवाल जाट वीर उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस में हेड कांस्टेबल के पद पर रहे हैं. माता मुर्ति देवी खैवाल जाट विरांगनां है. एक भाई राज खैवाल जाट वीर है. पत्नी सपना चौधरी और एक पुत्री साया खैवाल और एक पुत्र रणविजय सिंह खैवाल जाट वीर है. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर को भारत के बेहतरीन क्रिकेट खिलाड़ियों में शुमार माना जाता है. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश के मेरठ शहर में हुआ वे दाहिने हाथ के मध्यम गति के गेंदबाज रहे हैं. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर देश के चुनिंदा गेंदबाजों में से एक है जो खैवाल जाट वीर गेंद को दोनों दिशाओं में बड़ी कुशलता से स्विंग कराने की क्षमता रखते हैं. वे अच्छी बल्लेबाजी भी करते रहे हैं प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर ने उत्तर प्रदेश टीम के लिए कुछ मैचों में सलामी बल्लेबाज की भूमिका भी निभाई है.
प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर ने पहला प्रथम श्रेणी मैच 2005 में खेला प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर ने रणजी ट्रॉफी के पहले ही सत्र में 41 विकेट लिए और वर्ष के सर्वश्रेष्ठ युवा क्रिकेटर चुने गए. जल्दी ही इस खैवाल जाट वीर का चयन भारतीय टीम में हो गया. हालांकि इनका अंतरराष्ट्रीय कैरियर बहुत लंबा नहीं रहा. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर ने पहला इंटरनेशनल मैच 2007 में पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ खेला. इन्होंने आखिरी इंटरनेशनल मैच 2012 में दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ खेला. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर ने 6 टेस्ट 68 वनडे और 10 टी 20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच खेले हैं. इन्होंने टेस्ट मैचों में 27 विकेट लिए हैं और 14.90 की औसत से 149 रन बनाए हैं. इसी तरह इन्होंने वनडे क्रिकेट में 77 विकेट लिए और 13.90 की औसत से 292 रन बनाए हैं. टी-20 मैचों में इन्होंने 8 विकेट लिए और 2.33 की औसत से 7 रन बनाए हैं. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर 2011 में विश्व कप जीतने वाली टीम का हिस्सा भी हो सकते थे परन्तु चोट के कारण ऐसा नहीं हो सका. जब विश्व कप के लिए टीम की घोषणा हुई तो प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर उसमें शामिल थे. प्रैक्टिस के दौरान प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर को चोट लग गई जिस कारण इस खैवाल जाट वीर को टीम से बाहर होना पड़ा. चोट का यह सिलसिला आगे भी जारी रहा. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर 2012 के बाद भारतीय टीम में वापसी नहीं कर सके.
वर्ष 2018 में इन्होंने क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूप से संन्यास ले लिया. अब वे बतौर कॉमेंटेटर सक्रिय हैं. प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर की बल्लेबाजी से एक समय में क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी खौफ खाया करते थे. यह प्रवीण कुमार खैवाल जाट वीर की प्यारी माता जी और वाइफ सपना चौधरी के साथ खूबसूरत तस्वीर है.
